  • DJ Sprinkles will play an All Night Long session at Cameo Gallery in Brooklyn next Saturday. The US-born, Japan-based multimedia artist and scholar, formally known as Terre Thaemlitz, has made his mark on house music in 2013 with the mix CD Where Dancefloors Stand Still, the double-disc remixes compilation Queerifications & Ruins and a handful of vinyl samplers, all featured on Mule Musiq. But his own Comatonse imprint is where he releases many of his wide-ranging productions (including the recent efforts licensed by Mule Musiq), and his show at Cameo Gallery, which these days marks a relatively rare stateside appearance, will serve as a 20th anniversary celebration for the label. Starting at midnight, he'll take to the decks for four hours, in what looks to be his only confirmed gig in the country at the moment. Ahead of next weekend's event, you can catch up with DJ Sprinkles via a recent interview with Brooklyn Bass.
