  • The North American debut of St. Jerome's Laneway Festival, taking place in the Detroit area on Saturday the 14th, will feature a stage curated by Ghostly International and homegrown institution Movement. Laneway Festival, which has its roots in Melbourne, Australia, is generally known for its focus on indie music. This Detroit edition (which will actually set up shop at the Meadow Brook Music Festival grounds in Rochester Hills) has the likes of Sigur Rós, The National and Deerhunter on the lineup, and itt should be a good fit for Ghostly's genre-blurring sounds. "The Movement Stage presented by Ghostly International," as it's described in a press release, will feature five acts from the label. Matthew Dear, a longtime Ghostly fixture, will perform with his live band. Adult., Shigeto (who just released an LP on Ghostly) and Beacon will also play live, with Heathered Pearls rounding out the stage lineup. Other electronic-oriented acts at the festival include Flume, AlunaGeorge and Washed Out.
