- The hooded duo will release their third album in October.
The third Snuff Crew album, Behind The Masks, will come out through BPitch Control on October 25th.
The anonymous duo say the record is their most conceptual release to date, and was "more about writing songs than producing tracks." It features a number of collaborations, with Tyree Cooper, Rachel Row, Kim Ann Foxman and Hard Ton all appearing. The pair say their remix of Billie Ray Martin and Hard Ton's "Fantasy Girl" ignited their passion for creating melodies, and provided a springboard for the direction they explore on Behind The Masks.
Although Snuff Crew say the album offers "deeper insights into their work and vision of their music," it isn't a complete stylistic shift: Chicago and acid house remain the central touchstones, along with '90s US house, hip-house and vintage electro. The duo's two previous albums, Snuff Crew and Jack 2, came out in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
