  • Pinch and Adrian Sherwood will play live in the US for the first time on September 23rd. The two dub lovers hooked up earlier this year to release the "Bring Me Weed" 12-inch on Pinch's Tectonic label, and have also been playing live sets together—including an appearance at Sónar festival back in June. If you're unfamiliar, Pinch is a Bristol-based dubstep OG who helped to define the genre's sound in its early days, while Sherwood is a decades-long veteran of dub (and remixing) primarily known for his work as On-U Sound. Their first stateside gig will go down at Cielo in Manhattan as they headline Deep Space NYC. Resident and founder Francois K will provide support as usual. The show doubles as the closing party for the Dub Champions festival, a weekend-long event also featuring Lee "Scratch" Perry that happens in DC and Philadelphia as well as NYC. For more info on that, check out their website. You can grab tickets for the Deep Space night here.
