  • Perc and Truss will release a collaborative EP called Spiker next month. The 12-inch will be the second release on Perc Trax offshoot Perc Trax Ltd., which launched back in April with a reissue of Matt Whitehead's "A Is For Acid." The EP contains three tracks of what the label's calling "no-bullshit, hardware based techno" that was recorded live in one take ("no second attempts, no re-edits and no processing of the tracks after they were recorded," they add). It's the first time the two artists, both key figures in the UK techno scene, have worked together in the studio. You can get a taste of what to expect from Spiker over on Perc's SoundCloud page, where snippets of all three tracks are streaming. The pair also spoke to Juno Plus about the release, with both producers revealing that there's more Perc & Truss material in the pipeline. Tracklist A1 Clapacid B1 Spiker B2 Broken Perc Trax Ltd. will release Spiker in mid-August 2013.
