- The all-female showcase will hold its first party at the new venue next month.
Portland's Cock Block will re-launch at a new venue with a residents night on August 10th.
Cock Block was started up back in 2011 at its original home of Groove Suite with an aim to "showcase the wealth of female electronic music talent found in Portland and beyond." Past headliners have included the likes of Camea, DJ Shiva and J. Phlip, and the crew have a self-proclaimed focus on "strictly underground beats." The re-launch is the first Cock Block event since Groove Suite closed back in April, but the party's remit will remain the same. The first night is set to feature all local residents, including The Perfect Cyn, Mercedes, Sappho and Miss Vixen. Non-musical attractions include free stickers and astrology and tarot card readings at the gig. The next Cock Block event will take place in October with J. Phlip, but the details are still under wraps.
