- Akufen's alias will hold a record release party next weekend.
Akufen will officially launch his album in Montreal next Friday.
Canadian producer Marc Leclair has typically used the pseudonym (some of his others include David Scott and Reno Disco) for his more dramatic and techno-influenced material, with four releases to the name so far. Briefly Eternal—described somewhat confusingly as "a very personal trip to the depths of Boo"—is the fifth release, and debut album, as Horror Inc., and it's due to be released on Perlon next week. His celebratory shindig will take place at Le Bleury-Bar à Vinyle, and he'll perform live alongside Montreal local DJ Mir, who will open and close the night.
