  • The debut Tropic Of Cancer album, Restless Idylls, will be released on September 23rd. As previously reported, LA artist Camella Lobo's first full-length will come out on Kiran Sande's Blackest Ever Black. It contains eight unreleased tracks and features additional production from Karl O'Connor, AKA Regis. A press release describes the album's themes as "romance, devotion, pain and helplessness." "More Alone," which appears on the single-track 7-inch that precedes the album, is streaming over at the Blackest Ever Black SoundCloud page (though the label says the rugged nature of the song is "perhaps a misleading foretaste of the full-length, which is more lush, languid and extravagantly despondent than previous TOC material." The live incarnation of Tropic Of Cancer, which features both Lobo and Dva Damas's Taylor Birch, will embark on an extensive tour of Europe, which kicks off with a Boiler Room appearance in London in September and wraps up at Unsound festival in Poland on October 13th, taking in shows in Athens, Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin along the way.
