Two New York bookings and appearances in Detroit and Chicago are on the schedule for the Berlin-based techno stalwart.
Adam X will play four dates in the US this month.
Brooklyn-born, Berlin-based artist AKA Adam Mitchell saw his second Traversable Wormhole compilation released on CLR a few months ago—around the same time he put out a record as Adam X on SCR Dark Series. More recently he's taken on a new alias, Mass-X-odus, and produced an EP for Foundation Sonore.
Up first on this visit back to the US is The Corner Block Party at The Panther Room (Output's rooftop spot) this Sunday afternoon, where Adam X, Ron Morelli and Anthony Parasole will be spinning "electro, freestyle and classic boogie jams all day." Mitchell will then play live as Traversable Wormhole at The Works in Detroit next Friday, topping the bill at Blank Code's Scene 12 party.
The following night, he'll headline Smart Bar in Chicago for his first Windy City appearance in almost a decade. Presented by Oktave and Prosthetic Pressings, that one will feature an Adam X DJ set as well as a Traversable Wormhole live set, with Jeff Derringer from Oktave warming things up. After that he'll jet back to New York for another party at Output on Friday the 19th, this time in the main room, to celebrate Ele_mental's 20th anniversary. He'll play another live set as Traversable Wormhole, and East Coast house selector DJ Qu is also confirmed for that one.
Tickets to this Sunday's rooftop party in Brooklyn are available on RA. Get ready for Adam X's stateside return with the29nov films' recent video for the Mass-X-Odus track "Gang Wars."
