  • Berlin label Sushitech has revealed details for Steve O'Sullivan's next compilation, Bluetrain Retrospective, due out in late July. Bluetrain Retrospective follows Sushitech's release last month of material focused on the veteran techno artist's label Mosaic. As the name implies, the new compilation will highlight the sounds of O'Sullivan's alias Bluetrain, which had appeared primarily on the Mosaic offshoot of the same name back in the late '90s and early '00s. Four of the tracks—"Moving Forward," "Inside Out," "Stripped" and "Don't Rush The Dub"—are brand-new, having been produced only in recent months. Four others are previously unreleased edits of older tracks, and two more are classics remastered specifically for the occasion. Like the Mosaic retrospective, this one will come only as a triple-vinyl pack, with Sushitech designer Kerry Roper once again taking care of the artwork. Catching up with RA via email, label head Yossi Amoyal says Sushitech will now be O'Sullivan's home label. While he's lined up a couple remixes for other imprints, O'Sullivan "will release original productions mostly for Sushitech," according to Amoyal, who adds that new EPs are already in the works. O'Sullivan is also preparing a new live set, to be performed at Sushitech showcase nights in Europe around the end of the year—though details for those events are still TBA. Tracklist A1 Moving Forward B1 Midnight Creeper (Extended) B2 Where's Burt? (Short Edit) C1 Inside Out D1 Special Edition (Reshape) D2 Version Blue (Edit) E1 Stripped E2 Diminishing Returns (Bluetrain Special Edition Dub) F1 Don't Rush The Dub F2 Give I Strength (Remastered) Sushitech will release Bluetrain Retrospective in late July, 2013.
