  • Raffertie will release his first full-length, Sleep Of Reason, on August 6th. Benjamin Stefanski first made a splash with his exaggerated dubstep singles on Planet Mu and Seclusiasis. In 2010, he launched his own imprint Super before signing to Ninja Tune a year later and dropping two EPs of fidgety house and bass music. Earlier this year he released the Build Me Up EP, incorporating his own vocals and songwriting for a record that RA's James Lawrence described as "electronic avant-soul." Sleep Of Reason, continuing his relationship with Ninja Tune, explores this direction further and features three tracks from that last EP—"Build Me Up," "Trust" and "Known" ("One Track Mind" also appeared on his 2012 EP Mass Appeal). Apparently influenced by Stefanski's childhood growing up in an aging English coastal town, he says that "parts of this album are about letting go of the worry of when something might happen, and instead embracing now." The album also features a guest appearance from UK vocalist YADi. Tracklist 01. Undertow 02. Rain 03. Build Me Up 04. Gagging Order 05. Touching 06. One Track Mind 07. Last Train Home 08. Trust (feat. YADi) 09. Principle Action 10. Known 11. Window Out 12. Black Rainbow 13. Back Of The Line Ninja Tune will release Sleep Of Reason on August 6th, 2013.
