  • The Martinez Brothers will head out on a nine-show, six-city US tour starting next week. It's shaping up to be another busy summer for the New York-born house duo. They just brought their new Mad Beats & Crazy Styles party (which launched a few months ago) to Barcelona during Sonar, and they'll be holding down their residency at DC-10 in Ibiza as well as continuing to gig steadily across Europe. On top of that, they've been busy in the studio (a remix for Green Velvet is forthcoming) and they're also preparing to launch a new label, Cuttin' Headz. Details on that front are still TBA. Stateside fans, take note: these will be The Martinez Brothers' only appearances in the country this summer. First up, next Thursday, is a visit to San Francisco where they'll headline the BASE eight-year anniversary at Vessel. After that comes a night at Sound in Los Angeles where they're billed with another out-of-towner, the UK's Mark Fanciulli, followed by sets at daytime and nighttime parties in San Diego. Those will be hosted by LED and FNGRS CRSSD. On Thursday, July 4th, the duo will celebrate Independence Day with two shows in Miami: IndepenDANCE at Nikki Beach, where the program is topped off by UK veteran Steve Lawler, and later that night, a headlining set at Mansion. Then on Saturday the 6th, they'll return home to New York for another pair of appearances. First up is an early evening at MoMA PS1, as part of the museum's Warm Up series, which will also feature three more locally based selectors in DJ Qu, Kim Ann Foxman and Anthony Naples. Later on that night they'll team up again with ReSolute for the next edition of Mad Beats & Crazy Styles—Arthur's Landing and Rick Wilhite are among the guests at that party, which will take place at Output. Finally, the brothers' tour ends in Chicago with a set at Wavefront Festival on Sunday the 7th. Tickets to see the duo in San Francisco, LA, San Diego by day and Miami by night, and at Mad Beats & Crazy Styles 03 in New York are available on RA.
