  • The Corner is launching a sublabel called Quickstrike. The imprint run by Anthony Parasole, our label of the month back in April, has been churning out hefty, floor-ready EPs since its debut last summer. Quickstrike's sound should be similar to The Corner's, but its approach will be somewhat faster and looser. As reported by Juno Plus, the sublabel's tracks will all bear the title "Quickstrike" followed by a catalog number. And if the label name is any indication, the releases should be arriving in swifter succession than they tend to on their parent label. Have a listen to a clip of the first release here; it's produced by Parasole, and text accompanying the clip describes it as "relentless drum patterns numerous Kick Drums with a never ending grip on the dancefloor." There's no release date as yet for the single-track 12-inch.
