- Digital Dreams Festival will return to Toronto at the end of the month during Canada Day weekend, Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th. The festival will once again set up shop at The Flats at MCA (also known as Ontario Place) overlooking Lake Ontario. This year's edition stretches out across three stages for two full days, from 3 PM to midnight. And, once again, the lineup is heavy on big-room trance and bass-heavy EDM acts, including Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Datsik and Dillon Francis. Those in search of house and techno-oriented fare will likely seek out the Echo Beach Stage. There, the Saturday program will be topped off by Minus head Richie Hawtin, with Luciano, Paco Osuna and local exports Art Department and Nitin playing earlier in the day. Highlights on Sunday include UK stalwart Steve Lawler and Umek, before Dubfire's closing set winds down the weekend.
