  • Defected Records will launch a new label called DFTD in June. The UK-based outfit has undergone several changes in recent months: first, they moved their Defected In The House residency in Ibiza from Pacha to new club Bomba, then they launched a new-look website designed by Trevor Jackson. Rather than look to their well-worn roster, DFTD will aim to "focus on fresh and undiscovered talent from around the globe, along with the occasional curveball release from established acts." Desolat staple Guti will release the Hope EP as the inaugural 12-inch, with music from the likes of Pitto, J Cub, Raw District, Jonas Rathsman and 2020 Vision affiliates Art of Tones to follow. The label will also carry a strong focus on live events, with a weekly Monday residency at Ushuaia Tower this summer. The party will be free and run during the day. You can listen to a preview of Guti's debut offering on DFTD here.
