The first full-length release on Avian comes from the mysterious Swedish duo.
The debut SHXCXCHCXSH album will see release in June through Avian.
Little is known of the vowel-avoiding duo, except they are from Sweden and sometimes perform live. To date, their benevolent brand of techno has appeared on labels including Semantica, Subsist and Avian, with the latter releasing the Rjrjrffrjrj 12-inch last year. The track titles on STRGTHS are typically scrambled, with names like "RSRRCTN," "LVNGWTR" and "WHTLGHT."
STRGTHS will be the first full-length offering from Avian, which launched in 2011 and has since formed a singular sonic and visual aesthetic, with releases from the likes of Truss (under his MPIA3 alias), Shadows, A Vision Of Love and the two label bosses, Ventress and Shifted (who have also set up two sub-labels, Mira and Pacific Blue.) The album will be preceded by a remix package featuring re-rubs—or "RCNSTRCTNS," as the label have dubbed them—from Shifted, Ventress and Sigha. Check out the brief video teaser below for a taste of what to expect.
