Michael Mayer crosses the Atlantic again

- Six US gigs and a Kompakt showcase at MUTEK in Montreal have been confirmed for Mayer, starting in Seattle next week.
- Kompakt man Michael Mayer will play seven shows in North America in the coming weeks. Mayer is likely hoping for better luck than he's had with his previous two visits to the continent: visa issues resulted in the cancellation of a short US tour last year, which was to include a set at Movement 2012, and illness forced a few missed dates back in March. This tour will kick off in Seattle next Wednesday, where he's billed at Barboza with local selector and Further Records boss Chloe Harris. An extended set at a Hear gig in Los Angeles and an appearance at Electric Daisy Carnival Chicago (in Joliet, Illinois) are up next for Mayer, before he caps off the weekend in Detroit during Movement. Though he's not on the festival lineup this year, he'll play a 16-hour party at TV Lounge called OK, Cool that starts Sunday night and features the likes of jozif, Eddie C and Mike Huckaby. The following week, Mayer will play a Kompakt 20th anniversary event at MUTEK in Montreal, also featuring label artists John Tejada, The Field and Saschienne, before he heads much farther south to Miami for a night at Electric Pickle. On Saturday, June 1st, the tour winds down in New York, where Mayer is set to headline a day party jointly hosted by Blkmarket Membership and ReSolute.
