Atom TM debuts HD in Montreal

- Uwe Schmidt will unveil his new audio-visual set at Elektra Festival next month, with an RBMA afterparty appearance in Brooklyn confirmed the following night.
- Uwe Schmidt, AKA Atom TM, will touch down in Montreal and Brooklyn early next month. The two dates mark the start of Schmidt's 2013 world tour in support of his latest album HD, for which the seasoned experimental producer has prepared a new audio-visual set. The first HD show will take place on Wednesday, May 3rd, at the 14th annual Elektra Festival in Montreal, a five-day digital arts festival whose program also features a collaborative performance between French artist Mondkopf and graphic design studio Trafik. Schmidt will then cross the border the following Saturday to bring HD to Brooklyn for a Red Bull Music Academy afterparty at Public Assembly. RBMA is teaming up with local institution The Bunker for that event, and Andy Stott, Objekt and Patrick Pulsinger are also on the lineup among a handful of Academy participants. Details for the rest of the world tour are still being finalized, but these two shows are the only ones lined up for North America at the moment.
