Clark billed for Mapping Festival

- Geneva's Mapping Festival will take place from May 2nd to the 12th. Now in its ninth year, the festival for "visual audio and deviant electronics" takes over a number of venues around the Swiss city for mixed media showcases involving visual art, technology and music. Workshops over the week include video mapping, stage design and "homemade 8-bit," while visual artist Sougwen Chung (known for her Sepalcure album art) and other designers will create installations. There will be film screenings as well (including a movie about notorious torrent portal The Pirate Bay), plus a VJ contest during the final few days. Musically, the lineup is split between straight-up clubbing and audiovisual performances. Berghain resident Answer Code Request, Wax Treatment's DJ Pete, Hessle Audio's Pangaea, Legowelt and Baby Ford are among the highlights for the dance quotient (along with a Shogun Audio night where Icicle and Rockwell are billed). IDM mainstay Clark, French techno producer Kangding Ray and Uwe Schmidt (as Atom ™) will all perform live sets accompanied by visuals.
