- The UK artist will release Rites through Subtext later this month.
Paul Jebanasam will release his first album on April 22nd.
A Sri Lankan-born, UK-based sound artist, Jebanasam has had his hand in a few projects over the years. He released several dubstep EPs as Moving Ninja on Tectonic in the late 2000s, and has been involved in many Subtext releases, including remixing Emptyset last year and helping record Roly Porter's Aftertime album. Rites is his first full release under his own name. Inspired by Jebanasam's own exploration of liturgical music, it consists of five lengthy tracks which, according to a press release, bridge the gap between "contemporary classical, metal, sacred music and sound design."
