Forward celebrates 11 years with MANIK

- The San Francisco party will celebrate its birthday and Adnan Sharif's farewell in April.
- Forward SF will celebrate its 11th anniversary on April 12th. The party was originally founded back in 2002 by Adnan Sharif at San Francisco's old Border Cantina, hosting names like Maceo Plex and Robag Wruhme at a number of different Bay Area venues. Forward's birthday bash, taking place at Mighty, is likely to be a bittersweet affair however, as it also marks Sharif's departure from SF after living in the city for 26 years. The producer and DJ will move to Sao Paulo to work at the D-Edge nightclub. NYC house producer MANIK will headline the festivities, along with Sharif himself. SF's own Shiny Objects and Bells & Whistles will round out the lineup for the main room. The back room will feature Forward resident Benjamin Vallery as well as As You Like It's William Wardlaw, while there will also be a Silent Disco soundtracked by Star Kommand, Atish and Jdubya. The venue will be outfitted with a new EAW Avalon Club.two sound system, which is reportedly the first of its kind in the US.
