  • Glitterbug will play his first Australian shows this weekend. The Cologne-based artist has been releasing ambient techno records since 2006, the same year he founded his own c.sides imprint. While Cancerboy, his third LP and most recent release, came out nearly 12 months ago, Rohmann has continued working closely with visual artist and long-term collaborator Ronni Shendar, with the pair putting on live audio/visual shows around the world. Both Rohmann and Shendar will be heading south for their Australian debut. Things kick off in Melbourne on April 19th, where Freeform Collective will host the show at Horse Bazaar, enlisting PWD, Lost Few and Simon TK as local supports. The following evening, the next instalment of Demiurge will be taking place at a Sydney city venue yet to be disclosed, with a bill that also features Felix Warmuth, James Newman and Love's Disciple. Their third appearance will be at Brisbane's Judith Wright Centre on ANZAC Day, April 25th, as part of the Institute of Modern Art's microMONO series. Tickets to the Sydney show can be purchased here on RA.
