  • The latest edition of Resonate kicks off this weekend in Belgrade. Each March, Resonate brings together visual artists, technologists, musicians and more in Belgrade for a three-day festival exploring technology's place in art and culture. With a program heavy on workshops, lectures and screenings, it doesn't look like many festivals on the electronic music circuit. A number of tech-minded producers will be performing this year, though. On Thursday the 21st, Valens, a vocals-and-electronics group hailing from Paris and Belgrade, will play alongside Pantha Du Prince. Mouse On Mars, who recently opened the doors of their Berlin studio to RA, will bring their frenetic live show to the festival on Friday the 22nd. A DJ set from veteran Serbian jock Marko Nastic will follow. The festival closes on Saturday the 23rd with upstart Serbian producer Jan Nemecek, Chilean Panorama Bar regular Dinky and local DJ duo Monosaccharide. As in years past, the festival will set up shop at Dom Omladine, a contemporary art and culture centre focused on youth-oriented programming. You can check out the festival's website for the full rundown on this year's program, music-centric and otherwise.
