  • Pittsburgh afterhours spot Hot Mass will ring in Easter next Saturday night with an Underground Quality showcase featuring label boss Jus-Ed and Fred P. Hot Mass opened back in December, the result of a collaboration between four crews: Humanaut, Honcho, Divergence and Deeper. It's located within a members-only gay sex club, Club Pittsburgh. With no curfew restrictions, the early-morning Sunday events have become known for an anything-goes atmosphere ("a sleazier vibe than most other parties," according to an organizer). The music program, focused on disco, house and techno, features a wide range of local talent, while high-profile acts like Claude Von Stroke and Kirk Degiorgio have been on hand to play surprise sets over the past few months. To celebrate Easter Sunday, Hot Mass has lined up a party cheekily titled "Oh Christ!" It'll be the first Underground Quality showcase in Pittsburgh—and the local debut for Fred P—which should mean a long night filled with deep, gritty house music. On top of that, though Hot Mass normally opens at 2 AM on Sunday, this one will kick off early, at 11 PM Saturday, with a set from Jose Luis. As usual, a BYOB policy will be in effect, and the party will run until 7 AM.
