  • Lovelife will hold a masquerade ball and SXSW showcase in February and March. First up is A Lover's Masquerade, which will take place at the Herringbone restaurant and bar in La Jolla on the outskirts of San Diego. There will be a 15th century masquerade ball theme, with the whole nine yards of dress—including formal wear—encouraged. American producer and singer Tone Of Arc will headline with one of his live sets, and support will come from Lovelife promoter and DJ Jon Dadon, plus Elong and Dirty Work. Lovelife are offering free entry to those who RSVP, which you can do here. On March 9th, Lovelife will hold an afternoon "Sex By South West" party at SXSW in Austin, their first-ever outside of San Diego or Mexico. Like their hometown gigs, their showcase centres mostly around house. Leftroom boss Matt Tolfrey gets top billing, plus NYC's MANIK. Walker & Royce, a somewhat recent addition to the Crosstown Rebels roster, are also slated to play, alongside Jon Dadon. MACHINE, a trio made of Austin residents Adam Warped, Richard.Gear and J. Francis, will handle opening duties with Abstrakt Audio. Tickets for the SXSW showcase are available on RA.
