  • Atoms For Peace has announced three album release parties for its upcoming debut AMOK. Atoms for Peace is the star-sudded five-piece project of Radiohead singer Thom Yorke, producer Nigel Godrich, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea as well drummers Joey Waronker and Mauro Refosco. So far they've released a remix and a single tracks that blend Yorke's typical minor key sensibilities with contemporary electronic music influences. They've since announced their first full-length, due out on February 25th. Yorke and Godrich will travel to three major cities to play album launch parties in its wake. Each gig will feature the DJ duo of Yorke and Godrich, plus select guests. The first will take place at London's Oval Space on February 22, with Actress and Throwing Snow supporting. Their Berlin stop will take them to Berghain on March 8th for an early show bolstered by live sets from locals Shed and Anstam. Finally, on March 14th they'll head to NYC to play Le Poisson Rouge: guest performers for that night have not been finalized. Visuals for the London and Berlin shows will be handled by Tarik Barri, who previously directed one of the group's videos, which you can also see below.
