- The drum & bass head's first mix CD will feature tracks from Marcus Intalex, DJ Marky and SpectraSoul alongside his own material.
- Drum & bass producer Calibre has mixed Fabriclive 68. Real name Dominick Martin, the Northern Irishman has been a mainstay on the drum & bass circuit for 15 years, with countless EPs released through both his own Signature imprint and labels like Critical, Exit and Deep Medi. He's adopted something of a purist approach down the years, eschewing traditional promotional routes and never commissioning remixes of his own tracks. Fabriclive 68 is Martin's first mix CD, and the tracklist is dominated by the producer's own remixes and original material, with additional tracks coming from the likes of Marcus Intalex, dBridge and Genotype. "I was a little bit worried about how (the mix) would be received because sometimes when you've been doing something for so long, it's hard to work out what people want from you because they all have different periods of work that they identify with," Martin said. "Some of the tunes that are on there, I've been playing at fabric over the years to varying degrees of effect. They’re just for me; they're tunes that I've been playing for a long time some of them, so the mix is a representation of my work over the last ten years really." The launch party for Fabriclive 68 will take place on Friday, March 15th. dBridge, Fabio and Random Movement will play with Calibre in Room Two, with DJ EZ, DJ Zinc and Mosca among those booked for Room One.
