  • Luis Flores will make his Australian debut this month. While Flores has been involved in electronic music since the late '90s, co-founding the Nopal Beat and Antena Discos labels and working under several collaborative aliases, his first solo release only dropped back in 2009 on LA techno imprint Droid Recordings. Over the past four years the Mexican artist has also released records on Hidden Agenda and Micro.fon, while building his reputation as a live performer with his improvised audiovisual show. Flores will make his first trip to Australia this month, starting out with an appearance at Earth Frequency Festival 2013 in Queensland on February 15th. The four day camping event, held at Landcruiser Mountain Park, two hours northwest of Brisbane, will also feature names like Kalden Bess, D-sens and Hermitude. His Sydney show will be down at One22 on the 16th with IF? Records and Future Theories teaming up for a party that will also feature Material Object and Sebastian Bayne. From there, Flores heads back up to Brisbane for an Earth Frequency afterparty at Bar Soma on February 22nd, before flying to Melbourne on the 23rd to play at My Aeon alongside locals Andrew Till and Simon Slieker.
