  • Chris Carrier & Hector Moralez will release a collaborative album, Lotus Seven, in March. It will be the first album on Dan Ghenacia, Shonky and Dyed Soundorom's Apollonia label, which launched last year and has since put out a string of EPs and singles, including a well received reissue of a late '90s deep house classic from DJ Gregory. Carrier and Moralez first met in 2002 and collaborated on the The Acid EP, released through Robsoul in 2003. A press release suggests that Lotus Seven takes the listener on an "imaginary road trip back to '90s San Francisco," an era from which both Carrier and Moralez draw inspiration. Label co-chief Ghenacia is quoted as saying: “There is everything on this album; jazz, hip hop, techno, acid, dancefloor tracks to slow interludes. They have managed to achieve all of this, but most importantly in the right balance." Tracklist 01. Blast OFF 02. 5000 WATTS 03. Keep it Movin' 04. Phillies Titan 05. Astronomers Dream 06.
