  • Sydney promoters Astral People are set to host a fundraiser for the national depression initiative beyondblue this February, with Mark Pritchard on headline duties. The show comes just over a year after the Astral People ran a last minute charity show for the same cause, following Dro Carey's national tour cancellation due to deteriorating health. The Sydney youngster spoke with RA back in 2011 about his battle with depression and how it was impacting his ability to perform and prepare. Since then he has played major shows alongside the likes of Pearson Sound, Ben UFO, Ikonika and Shigeto, showing impressive progress as a confident and talented live performer. Astral's February 1st event will see Mark Pritchard (AKA Harmonic 313 and one half of Africa HiTech) headlining. Dro Carey will also be appearing under his new Tuff Sherm guise, alongside Cliques, Templar Soundsystem and a special guest yet to be announced. The party kicks off at Goodgod Small Club from 10:00 PM and entry is by donation, with all proceeds going to beyondblue.
