- Die Zauberhafte Welt Der Anderen will be the duo's first album, out in February.
Voigt & Voigt will release their first album together, Die Zauberhafte Welt Der Anderen, on February 18th.
The brothers Wolfgang Voigt and Reinhard Voigt have collaborated frequently in the past, releasing a number of singles on Kompakt Extra from 2002 through to 2011. Those records, along with the two releases on new label Erdingertrax from earlier this year, showcased a more functional techno sound, which their debut album tones down in favour of more melodic experiments. The title translates roughly to "The Magical World of Others," which refers to two different films: Die Welt Der Anderen (The Lives of Others) and the French classic Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (known to English-speaking audiences simply as Amelie). The album will come through Kompakt, the Cologne institution founded in part by Wolfgang Voigt himself.
