  • Radio Slave will play two gigs in California next month. Berlin-based Englishman Matt Edwards is an artist with many hobbies. First off, he's the founder of the prominent Rekids imprint, one of RA's first Labels of the Month. Then there's Quiet Village, his sample-based lounge music project with Joel Martin (he's also got another sample-heavy tech house project as The Machine, along with several other aliases). But Radio Slave, which is known for its pared-down sonic palette and lengthy remixes, has always been his flagship project, . On December 7th, Edwards will hit Los Angeles for Incognito's closing party at Los Globos, where Russian DJ Izhevski and locals Franco Benito and JIA will provide support. The next night he'll head north to San Francisco for a party at Monarch jointly presented by DeepBlue and Om Records. For that show, DeepBlue's Rooz, Bo (Borzu) and Om's Shiny Object will handle opening duties. Tickets for the San Francisco party are available here on RA.
