- The Leipzig artist will release his first LP through Kann Records this December.
Jan Barich, AKA Map.ache, is ready to release his debut album, Ulfo.
Along with Alexander Neuschulz and Dennis Knoof (AKA Sevensol & Bender), Barich is a founder of Kann Records, the label arm of a Leipzig record store of the same name. Since 2008, Kann has quietly become a consistent source of atmospheric, understated deep house, mostly by a crew of local artists. Barich hews close to his label's trademark sound on Ulfo, delivering ten delicate tracks that are, in the words of the label, "driven by determined chords carrying tears of optimism." The record will be Kann's first artist album. You can hear the opening track on their SoundCloud page.
