  • Stroboscopic Artefacts, the Berlin-based techno label run by Lucy, will release the fourth and final installment in its Stellate series on December 6th. Though the former Label of the Month is a techno imprint at heart, from the start Stroboscopic Artefacts been defined by its penchant for sound design and the avant-garde. Stellate is a series of vinyl box sets that explore this side of the label's palette. The past three editions have given us ambient and experimental music from the likes of Silent Servant, Kangding Ray and Perc. The fourth Stellate is a mixed-bag of ambient and beat-driven tracks. Luke Slater provides two static-heavy beatless dub pieces as L.B. Dub Corp, while Parisian group Dscrd deliver two abstract beats. Staying true to form, Sendai (AKA Peter Van Hoesen and Yves De Mey) toe the line between glitch and ambient. Blueprint man James Ruskin closes out the collection with two melodic drone pieces. As with past editions, Stellate 4 will come as two ten-inch vinyl records packaged in a metal tin. The vinyl release is limited to an edition of 300, but will be followed by a digital release on January 17th. Tracklist A1 L.B. Dub Corp - Choctaw Dub A2 L.B.
