- Stroboscopic Artefacts will release the Italian duo's first LP in February.
Italian techno duo Dadub will release their debut album, You Are Eternity, early next year on Stroboscopic Artefacts.
Dadub is Daniele Antezza and Giovanni Conti, two Italian techno artists with a specialty in sound design. They've only released a handful of their own productions so far, but in a way they're some of Stroboscopic Artefacts most important artists: the duo master all of the label's releases (plus releases by other labels) at their Artefacts Mastering studio in Berlin.
You Are Eternity is not a conventional techno album: it deals mostly in droning atmospheres and non-club-friendly rhythms. As the duo mentioned in a Machine Love feature earlier this year, much of their music is influenced by politics and world events, sometimes overtly so (the second track here, for instance, includes samples of Henry Waxman questioning Alan Greenspan about economic policy). Guest appearances come from Øe, fellow Stroboscopic Artefacts artist Edit Select and Ninja Tune's King Cannibal. The album will be available digitally and on CD.
