  • LA's Droid Behavior crew will celebrate their tenth anniversary next Saturday at The Complex with a returning guest, Marcel Dettmann, before throwing a party in New York next month. Since Drumcell and Raiz (AKA Acid Circus) founded the operation a decade ago, Droid has become synonymous with LA techno: Jeff Mills, Speedy J and Surgeon are just some of the headliners they've had over the years. Droid is also well represented by its resident artists, whose tough, stripped-back sound is featured on the in-house Droid Recordings imprint (there's also the popular Droid Podcast). There are a few different event concepts under the Droid umbrella, and this month's anniversary will be the 39th edition of the Interface series. Dettmann, the widely-loved Berlin DJ and producer, will top off the night with an extended set. Drumcell, Raiz and one more resident, Dean Paul, will also DJ. RSVP via email, get in the mood with the party's promo video, and see what's in Dettmann's bag these days with his recent set at Boiler Room. On Saturday the 15th, Droid Behavior makes its collective debut in New York (location: TBA, Brooklyn) with Interface 40, a joint production with Oktave and Sama. Drumcell, Raiz and Audio Injection will be on hand, along with Oktave resident Jeff Derringer and Taimur from Blkmarket Membership. Both of these Interface events will see OKTAform, a member of Atlanta's Wiggle Factor crew, doing video projections. Tickets for both events are available here on RA.
