  • Robert Hood will make his Denver debut at Guildwerks early next month. It's been a brisk year, as usual, for the prolific Detroit techno purveyor: he continues to gig constantly around the world, and he recently mixed an RA podcast. Then there's Motor: Nighttime World 3, his new concept album on Music Man Records, which RA's Tony Naylor praised as "palpable soul music." (You can stream the album in full at the label's SoundCloud page.) Next, Hood will travel to Denver to DJ at the tenth annual edition of Mother Earth Sound System's Dia de los Muertos party—his first ever gig in Colorado. A collaboration between MESS, CrowdPleaser and Whomp Truck, the two-room all-night party will also feature more than a half dozen locals including Scott Everett, Trip Coffin and Tess.
