  • Shlohmo and Sepalcure will play three dates together in late December. The two acts are powerhouses of American bass music hailing from opposite coasts. LA's Shlohmo is one of the most visible members of the Friends of Friends collective, with a chopped-and-screwed aesthetic that resulted in one of this year's more experimental RA podcasts. Sepalcure, meanwhile, is a Hotflush-affiliated duo made up of NYC's Praveen Sharma (AKA Braille) and Machinedrum. The music they make together slants more towards house, with influences from footwork and garage. The tour will showcase the audiovisual dimension of each act's live set. Sepalcure's eye candy will come from NYC artist Sougwen Chung, whose ornate illustrations have adorned all of the duo's releases. Details for Shlohmo's visuals have yet to be announced. Beginning on December 27th, the tour will hit The Independent in San Francisco, The Bottom Lounge in Chicago and The Sinclair in Cambridge, Massachusetts over three consecutive nights.
