This year's edition of the Norwegian festival also features Âme, Pearson Sound and local hero Todd Terje.
All details are in for this year's Ekko festival, taking place from October 20th through November 3rd in Bergen, Norway.
Ekko has long been one of Norway's best events for international electronic music, covering everything from club-ready house and techno to more experimental fare. This year's lineup could easily be their biggest yet, with more than two dozen DJs and live acts confirmed. Highlights include of-the-moment artists like John Talabot, Pearson Sound and Jimmy Edgar. Flying in from Berlin are Innervisions' Âme, Ostgut Ton duo Barker & Baumecker and the inimitable Robert Henke, who will deliver a Ghosts In Surround performance as Monolake. Representing the US's electronic underground are Ital and DFA regular Gavin Russom.
Naturally, there will be lots of local talent as well, including some of Norway's biggest electronic exports. Todd Terje will perform a 90-minute composition which was commissioned specially for the festival. Bergen resident Skatebård will play live as Transilvanian Galaxi, a spacey alter-ego he's used for EPs on Sex Tags Mania and Acido Records.
