  • The team behind Dresden's Uncanny Valley will launch a new sublabel, Shtum, this month. Uncanny Valley debuted in 2010, releasing a string of 12-inch compilations featuring a small cast of artists that would eventually become its core roster. Since then, its focus has remained on house, hosting numerous efforts from local producers like Jacob Korn, Break SL and Cuthead. The new venture will focus exclusively on techno and rougher strands of house, a clear counterpoint to the often deep and nonabrasive sound of its parent label. The first release will be helmed by Berlin-based producer Monomood, and is due for release by the end of October.
