  • Jimmy Edgar will visit Australia to perform in three cities this month. Currently residing in Berlin, Edgar originally grew up in Detroit and kicked off his career in music at a very early age. Since 2004 he has released several albums and more than a dozen 12-inch releases on labels like Warp Records and !K7, with his most recent full length offering, Magenta, dropping on celebrated London imprint Hotflush back in May of this year. Edgar's sometimes experimental tendencies have also spawned a number of alternative monikers and projects, from the highly leftfield digital music of Michaux to the retro electro funk of Her Bad Habit. Now returning to Australia for the second time, Edgar will be bringing along his live A/V show which features an elaborate synchronised LED setup. His first visit will be to Perth on October 14th, where the University of Western Australia will play host to This Is Nowhere Festival, also featuring acts like Ikonika and Slugabed. The following week, on the 18th, Edgar heads to The B.East in Melbourne where he will be supported by locals Inkswel and Matt Radovich. His final stop will be Sydney on the 19th for an Astral People gig at a warehouse location yet to be disclosed, with a bill that also includes Charlie Chux, Albatross and Frames.
