  • MUTEK.MX has announced the full lineup for this year's festival, which runs October 1st through the 7th in Mexico City. Now in its ninth year, the Mexican arm of the Montreal-based MUTEK festival will feature more than 35 artists, drawing on both big international names and lesser-known local artists. Austrian acoustic techno group Elektro Guzzi, Brooklyn electronic songstress Laurel Halo, Border Community stalwart Luke Abbott, and Demdike Stare, who will present their soundtrack to Jean Rollin's La Vampire Nue as part of the festival's new film series, are among those from the international contingent, with artists like La Royale, Lao, and Metrika representing Mexico. In addition to CICLO, the new film series, which is also set to feature the premiere of a documentary about the first nine years of the festival, MUTEK.MX is adding a new one-evening, multi-venue series called CIRCUITO, where a number of Mexico City's top nightclubs will open their doors to festival visitors. INTERSECCIÓN, a series of workshops and meetings, round out the festival. More details on this year's MUTEK.MX, including the full lineup, can be found on their website.
