  • Ron Trent will headline a Renegade Rhythms party in Portland on September 15th. Active since the late 80s in his hometown of Chicago, Trent has since become a house music legend of sorts, with classic tracks like "Altered States," "The Afterlife" and collaborations with Chez Damier (with whom he founded the Prescription Records imprint) helping to cement his legacy. This year Trent hasn't played many US dates outside of his hometown, and the Portland appearance—which promises a three-hour set—comes after a string of European dates. The party will take place at Someday Lounge. Joining Trent will be fellow Chicagoan Jamie 3:26, who will himself be making a Portland debut two days earlier at another Renegade Rhythms party at Groove Suite. Local support comes from Renegade residents Tom Mitchell and Dave Bate.
