  • Konkrete Jungle Detroit will launch at The Works on September 22. The party has been a national brand for years now, going since 1994 in New York City, and claims to be the longest-running drum & bass night ever. In addition to the 18-year history of its NY/OG series, which has not only brought some of the biggest international names in the genre to the states but also encouraged and focused on local talent, Konkrete Jungle also has chapters in places like Bowling Green, KY, Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, and Knoxville. They'll launch their newest in Detroit with drum & bass pioneer A-Sides, a UK producer and DJ who himself has been a long-running fixture on the scene since 1991, releasing on esteemed record labels like Eastside, Strictly Underground, Reel 2 Reel and Metalheadz. Supporting A-Sides on the lineup is Miami's Juan Basshead, who runs Basshead records along with the headliner, plus Michigan locals Ronin Selecta, Dilemma, Calica, Gin & Tronic, Jose Pistols, DJ Jawa and Steve Dronez.
