  • Nasty FM will helm a Square One party at Leeds' Wire Club on September 26. Nasty FM was founded by Rinse FM DJ Marcus Nasty, arguably the most influential UK funky DJs past and present. He started the station to provide a platform of new and upcoming artists in the sphere of grime, dubstep, and funky, and currently has regular slots from figures as diverse as Scratcha DVA, grime producer Darq E Freaker and Vancouver's LiGHTA! crew. His station showcase at Wire club will see Nasty headline along with DVA, UK funky group Funkystepz, grime-and-garage rising star Royal-T, and veteran grime jock Sir Spyro. Some lesser-known names include frequent Spyro partner Mak 10, newcomers The Whiteboys, and DVA Music artists Shy One and Joss Ryan, plus Square One residents Jo Kira and Descry. Tickets for the evening are available here on RA.
