  • Hessle Audio will hold a label showcase in Bristol with Four Tet on October 5th. Hessle Audio was founded in Leeds in 2007 by Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangaea, and has since seen considerable acclaim, including a spot as RA's Label of the Month in January 2009. The label's sound was originally associated with bass music, but has since explored house and techno with an experimental bent, with recent releases from Bandshell, Elgato, and Objekt (among others) toeing the lines between genres. The lineup will feature the label's three founders alongside London-based artist Four Tet, just off the release of his new LP Pink, a collection of tracks from his more club-oriented 12-inches. Rounding out the Hessle Audio room is mysterious label signee Joe, whose "Claptrap" was quite ubiquitous upon its release in 2010, as well as Dutch techno DJ and producer Legowelt. Bristol-based house label (and record shop) Idle Hands will helm the second room, headlined by Eglo boss Alexander Nut and his disciple Floating Points. Idle Hands founder Chris Farrell and locals (and shop employees) The Kelly Twins and Shanti Celeste will also play DJ sets. The party will take place at Motion Skate Park as part of In:Motion's fall series. Tickets are available here on RA.
