The Gaslamp Killer comes to Berlin

- The LA producer will be joined by San Francisco's Eskmo Thursday night at Gretchen.
- US beatsmith The Gaslamp Killer, AKA William Bensussen, will be landing for a rare Berlin club set tomorrow night. Bensussen is best known as a member of LA's Brainfeeder collective, an outfit spearheaded by Flying Lotus and with strong ties to Low End Theory, the midweek club night that helped solidify the reputation of West Coast artists like Samiyam, Tokimonsta and Bensussen himself throughout the late '00s. Though the he visits Europe for shows on a regular basis, his slots are often reserved for festival stages. This week's appearance, however, bucks that trend, seeing him join fellow Californian Brenden Angelides, better known as Eskmo, on the bill at Kreuzberg's Gretchen club. As DJs, both Bensussen and Esko generally spin the same highly syncopated and synth-heavy sound their productions exhibit, mixed with regular excursions in to rock, dubstep and traditional hip-hop. Support on the night will come from Berlin local Delfonic.
