  • London's Village Underground will host a solo show from masked rapper DOOM next month. As James Lawrence outlined in his review of DOOM's latest full-length, Key to the Kuffs with Jneiro Jarel, the rapper didn't exactly cover himself in glory at his last London appearance: as has often been the case in the past, DOOM sent an impersonator to play his scheduled DJ set. The upcoming show on Friday 2nd November will follow a sold-out date at the Kentish Town Forum this coming weekend. If he shows up, DOOM will perform solo at Village Underground, covering material from the JJ DOOM album along with his own "classic material." The party will run in the form of a club night, which means a 04:00 AM finish and an extended bill that includes further live performances from Rodney P, Yungun & Mr Thing and Thunderbird Gerard, and DJ sets from Kutmah and Kidkanevil. Tickets to the event can be grabbed via RA Tickets.
