  • RA will present an evening of music at London's Southbank Centre as part of Ether Festival on Saturday 13th October. As we announced early last week, newly signed Warp duo Mount Kimbie will headline the event. The show will represent Dom Maker and Kai Campos' first London gig for well over a year, and will precede the release of their second album in early 2013. Their performance will be the culmination of proceedings in the Queen Elizabeth Hall Front Room, the second part of the overall event which will begin in the fully-seated Purcell Room at 20:15. Opening the evening will be Bass Clef and Ekoplekz who will come together as Ekoclef for a live audio-visual performance. The pair released an intriguing full-length,Tapeswap, last year that saw them collaborate via post, each filling two of a tape's four channels to form a complete album. Ekoclef will then be followed by Blackest Ever Black's Raime who will debut a new audio-visual live show based on their forthcoming full-length, Quarter Turns Over A Living Line. Their thrillingly bleak electronics paired with visuals should be a comfortable fit for the intimate confines of the 250-capacity Purcell Room. The attention will then turn to the QEH Front Room at 22:00. Rising R&S artist Airhead will warm the room with a DJ set before Mount Kimbie's headline slot and the return of Bass Clef, who will be in full live mode. Expect Ralph Cumbers to revel in the same middle ground between the dance floor and experimentation he explored on his excellent Reeling Skullways album for Punch Drunk earlier this year. Separate tickets for both the entire evening and just the QEH Front Room are available to purchase here.
