- The London grime producer will release his second LP for Hyperdub this September.
Terror Danjah will release his second artist album on September 24th.
The London producer was one of the founding fathers of grime, but languished in obscurity for most of the past decade due to release issues and financial problems, before his Aftershock label went bankrupt in the mid-'00s. He's career has been back on track since 2009, however, when Planet Mu released the Gremlinz instrumentals compilation. Re-emerging shortly thereafter with a prolific release schedule spanning labels like Butterz, Hyperdub, and his own recently-founded Hardrive, Terror Danjah released his first proper solo album Undeniable in 2010.
Dark Crawler is a shorter effort than its predecessor, focused around the title track which appears in three different versions featuring MCs Riko Dan, Mayhem, Deadly & Saf One and Trim & Kozzie, as well as a "Dark Crawler" intro and outro. The record is split between vocal tracks—with singers Meleka and Ruby Lee Ryder also appearing—and instrumentals, and sees Terror collaborating with the likes of grime protege DOK, Lex Envy and UK funky magnate Champion. All tracks on the album are previously unreleased, save "You Make Me Feel," which came out on a 12-inch last year, and the vocal version of "Dark Crawler" (featuring Riko Dan) which was released as the album's first single on July 31st.
